New postdocs in the lab

Two new postdocs are joining the lab this spring:
Valentin Journe is finishing up his PhD at Aix Marseille University on resource investment on tree reproduction.  He’s done some nice hierarchical model on dynamic allocation and will be working on the MOPGA grant.  He’ll be working with the masting study focusing on the new efforts in Europe.
Tong Qiu is finishing his PhD with Conghe Song at UNC-Chapel Hill.  Several of his papers are forthcoming that use remote sensing to drive dynamic state-space models.  Tong will be working on the new grants from NSF and NASA on dynamic models for global biodiversity.
