Claudia (she/her) is a current student in the Master of Coastal Environmental Management program at Duke University. She graduated from Smith College with a B.A. in Biological Sciences in 2017 and the following year completed a Fulbright Research Fellowship in Zanzibar, Tanzania where she studied coral reef health and the efficacy of existing marine conservation methods with an emphasis on engaging artisanal fishers.
Claudia works on the ‘Illuminating Hidden Harvests’ project evaluating the contributions of small-scale fisheries (SSF) to sustainable development. For her Master’s Project, she is studying the vulnerability of livelihoods dependent on SSF to climate change.
