How can we sustainably manage the ocean commons? From small-scale fisheries to larger, transboundary marine ecosystems, I am interested in how policies for fisheries and marine conservation are effectively developed and implemented, both domestically and internationally. While completing my Master’s degree at Duke University, I worked with the Basurto Lab and the Nicholas Institute for Environmental Policy Solutions to explore and quantify global support strategies for small-scale fisheries. In addition to my focus on coastal fisheries, I am involved in efforts to develop and strengthen multilateral marine policy between the U.S., Cuba, and Mexico.
