COURSE SCHEDULE

The Nicholas School’s Spring 2026 Course Schedule is available for download.
The table view is at the top, and the list view is at the bottom. In the table view, hover over the course number to view the course title. We do not anticipate any significant changes to the NSOE Spring course schedule; however, the schedule is subject to change if needed.
The university’s Spring 2026 course schedule is available in DukeHub. For more information about searching for classes, please see the central registrar’s Help Guide: Class Search.
REGISTRATION TIMELINE
Students register for classes online in DukeHub.
Shopping Carts are now open in DukeHub. The Shopping Cart allows you to compile the courses that interest you. After you add courses to your Shopping Cart, be sure to validate your schedule before enrolling. The validation process will help you identify any errors in your schedule. You will need to move courses from your Shopping Cart into your registration record. Please note that adding courses to your Shopping Cart does not automatically enroll you in those courses.
Need help navigating DukeHub? There are several registration help guides & video tutorials posted on the central registrar’s office website. Note: The registration dates posted at the link above are for undergrads. MEM and MF students should follow the tiered registration dates outlined in this ePack.
HOLDS & ELIGIBLE TO ENROLL
- All new students have been marked eligible to enroll in DukeHub. However, if you have a hold on your account in DukeHub, this will prevent you from registering for spring classes. Holds will appear on the main dashboard in DukeHub.
TIERED REGISTRATION
Course registration at the Nicholas School occurs in two tiers. In Tier One, students can enroll in up to 15 credits. In Tier Two, students can enroll in up to 16.5 credits. If additional credits are needed, the student must submit a course overload request form with the advisor’s approval.
- Tier One: Course registration in DukeHub for new students begins on Wednesday, October 29 at 7:00 AM (ET) and continues through Monday, November 10 at 11:59 PM (ET). In Tier One, new students can enroll in up to 15 credits.
- Students are encouraged to enroll in a minimum of 12 to 13 graduate credits each semester, which includes one credit for the Program Area Seminar (ENVIRON 898).
- Waitlisted courses count toward your credit availability.
- Tier Two: Begins on Tuesday, November 11 at 12:00 AM (ET) and concludes on Wednesday, January 21 at 11:59 PM (ET). In Tier Two, all students can enroll in up to 16.5 credits. If additional credits are needed, the student must submit the course overload request form with advisor approval.
- Students may continue to add and drop classes freely in DukeHub beginning October 29 through the end of Drop/Add, which ends on Wednesday, January 21, at 11:59 PM (ET).
- Drop/Add Ends: On Wednesday, January 21, at 11:59 PM (ET), the Spring 2026 course registration period ends. Students must complete all registration-related matters by the end of the Drop/Add period. Please note that there may be an earlier deadline to enroll in courses at the Fuqua School of Business. Once we have that date available, we will share it with students via their Duke email.
SEMINAR
- Students are required to enroll in the Program Area Seminar (ENVIRON 898) each semester. Although students will enroll in this course each semester, only one credit will count toward their overall degree requirements. Students should enroll in the section of ENVIRON 898 that corresponds to their Primary Concentration. Please wait until Tier Two to register for ENVIRON 898. Students in the Master of Forestry (MF) program and dual degree MEM/MF students must enroll in the Forestry section of ENVIRON 898.
GUIDES & RESOURCES FOR REGISTRATION
All course registration advising guides are available in Duke Box. Students are encouraged to read, review, and bookmark the resources above before registration gets underway. The advising guides will be useful throughout the registration period.
ACADEMIC ADVISING
You have been assigned an academic advisor in your primary concentration. You will receive notification of your faculty advisor, and we encourage you to reach out to them if you have any questions about registering for spring classes. We also encourage you to set up a time to meet with your advisor during orientation, January 5-6. Meetings with advisors can center on course planning, but are not limited to this topic. Students are encouraged to use the time with their advisor to discuss their overall academic and professional goals, ask questions about interdisciplinary opportunities, and discuss any lingering concerns they might have before the semester begins.
Registration guides have been provided in this ePack. We also encourage students to watch this registration webinar recording and review the associated slide deck. Note: This recording is from Summer 2025.
Each student’s academic advisor should be visible in DukeHub, and students should have received an advising assignment letter via their Duke email. View additional information about academic advising on the Onboarding Resources site.
Duke University offers a wide range of classes each semester across various departments, professional schools, and graduate programs. See additional options in the NSOE Spring 2026 Course Schedule and utilize the Advanced Class Search in DukeHub to explore broader course options at the university.
STELLIC

Stellic is an online tool designed to track degree progress. Stellic uses a color-coded system to help students monitor their academic progress. With Stellic, students can plan their courses and view both completed and in-progress requirements, as well as any remaining courses needed for their degree. Please take some time to review the Stellic Webinar Recording & Slide Deck. Note: This recording is from Summer 2025.
Keep In Mind: Course registration occurs in DukeHub and not in Stellic. Once you enroll in a course in DukeHub, the course will show up on your Stellic record within 24 hours.
