Student/Trainee Abstract Submissions

We are excited to invite students and trainees who participate in research relevant to this year’s topic to submit abstracts to the 2020 Marine Medicine: Oceans and Human Health Symposium!  Selected abstracts will be included in the Symposium’s poster session.  Up to 4 abstracts will also be selected for oral presentation (10-15 minutes) during the Symposium.

Abstracts must be submitted by January 24, 2020, via the online submission form in order to be considered.

UPDATE: Due to the high level of interest the abstract submission deadline has been EXTENDED to Friday, February 7, 2020, 10:00 pm EST! Abstracts must be submitted via the online submission form in order to be considered.

The Symposium will be held at Duke University in Durham, NC, on March 27, 2020.

Student eligibility:

Submission is open to current students (high school, undergraduate, graduate, professional, medical) or postdoc trainees

Abstract guidelines:

• All abstracts MUST be submitted through the online abstract submission form (abstracts sent by email, mail, or other means will not be accepted)
• Abstracts should adhere to the highest quality standards, with correct grammar, spelling, and sentence structure
• The primary author should be the individual submitting the abstract
• 3,000 character limit
• Define non-standard acronyms/abbreviations
• Do not use headers such as “Introduction”, “Background”, etc.

Email Acceptance Notifications: Monday, February 3, 2020 UPDATE: Friday, February 21, 2020
