(video) NIEHS Research Brief features research by former trainee Casey Lindberg on hypoxia and PAH exposure in fish

Former project 4 trainee, Dr. Casey Lindberg, has her thesis work featured as a NIEHS Superfund Research Program research brief. Below is an accompanying video summarizing the research.

The findings provide new info about the mechanisms related to mitochondrial dysfunction from low-level exposures to PAHs and hypoxia. Dr. Lindberg and co-authors believe that hypoxia may cause such drastic changes in mitochondrial function that it affects how organisms respond to PAH mixtures.
