Christy holds a Master of Environmental Management degree from Duke University, specializing in Ecosystem Science and Conservation, and a certificate in Geospatial Analytics. She has worked as a contractor for NOAA, as a GIS analysis to assess marsh movement and vulnerability to sea level rise. Her current focus is establishing Duke RESTORE’s seagrass farm, where she is developing cost-effective seagrass planting and survivorship techniques, and creating toolkits for rural coastal communities. Additionally, she is interested in investigating the impact of mesopredators on trophic facilitation in coastal habitats such as seagrass beds and oyster reefs.
