The Nicholas School of the Environment (NSOE) Communications Studio, affectionately known as “the Comms Studio” by students, is dedicated to supporting NSOE graduate students in every stage of the writing process. Whether it be drafting an outline for a class assignment or receiving constructive feedback on a Master’s Project presentation, our trained consultants are here to support you. The NSOE Comms Studio complements the Duke Thompson Writing Center and is tailored to environmental communication.
We offer a variety of services, including:
- One-on-One Consultations: Personalized sessions tailored to meet your writing goals.
- Drop-in Sessions: Two-hour blocks where you can receive feedback from our consultants.
- Workshops: Focused sessions on specific types of writing and skills.
- Online Resources: Specially curated resources tailored to environmental communication
*We do not have a permanent location, but consultations, drop-in sessions, and workshops will meet in Grainger Hall, Duke Marine Lab, and/or on Zoom*
