The 2012 Marine Microbes Gordon Research Conference was held at Barga (near Lucca) Italy in the Tuscany region. ZIJ presented on the lab’s recent work on assessing the in situ activity of Prochlorococcus using rRNA-based approaches in a presentation titled, “In situ activity of a dominant Prochlorococcus ecotype (eHL-II) determined from rRNA and cell size” with Yajuan Lin, Alyse Larkin and Maria de Oca as major contributors.
