Virginia Elena Carta

Virginia received her undergraduate degree in Environmental Sciences and Policy from the Duke Nicholas School of the Environment. Virginia is interested in the topics of community development, sustainable agriculture and food security. Her honors thesis focused on the socio-economic impacts of different small-scale farming practices on local communities and finding the best production practices. During the summer of 2018, Virginia interned at the CITES Secretariat in Geneva.
