Wendy Dow Piniak awarded a Knauss Marine Policy Fellowship

Congratulations to Wendy Dow Piniak, who has been selected as a John A. Knauss Marine Policy fellow! The fellowship provides a unique educational experience to students who have an interest in ocean, coastal and Great Lakes resources and in the national policy decisions affecting those resources. The program matches highly qualified graduate students with “hosts” in the Legislative and Executive Branch of the federal government for a one-year paid fellowship. Wendy will travel to Washington, D.C. in November for Placement Week to determine in which office in the Executive Branch she will carry out her fellowship. This was a record high year for applicants to the fellowship program, with 112 applicants overall and only 53 finalists in the nation. Noah Chesnin, a recent Duke MEM, joins Wendy as a finalist. Congratulations!
