Stay connected to the school and fellow alumni
The Nicholas School hosts events throughout the year, both stateside and internationally, to bring together alumni of different ages and career stages to connect professionally and personally. In addition to our annual alumni reunion on campus, regional groups and networking socials offer great ways to connect. To stay connected and hear about events, visit our news and events website, and be sure to register and update your information on the Duke Alumni Association (DAA) network.
During this event, speakers from not only the Southeastern US, but also the West Coast will explore the intersection of fire and forestry and forest management. Discussions may include how to increase the diversity and resilience of ecosystems through prescribed burning, how Indigenous Peoples have been using cultural burning since time immemorial, and the challenges and complexities of wildfire mitigation work.
SAF Continuing Education Credits (CFE) will be available & lunch will be provided for in-person attendees.
