Yajuan Lin received her PhD in Marine Sciences and Conservation from Duke University. Dr. Lin’s PhD thesis title was “The Growth and Activity of Genetically Diverse Prochlorococcus” and her work focused on using molecular techniques to quantify the activity of specific ecotypes (genetically diverse, ecologically distinct types) of Prochlorococcus. Several chapters of her research are published (see publications). Dr. Lin (pictured with her dad) is starting a postdoctoral fellowship position with Assistant Professor Nicolas Cassar in the Division of Earth and Oceans Sciences at Duke University.
