As a Duke undergrad, I went on the field course to the Gulf of California, and it was one of my favorite memories of my time at Duke. On the course I was struck by how similar principles I had studied in ecology were also present in social systems.  I was lucky to return to work in Xavier’s lab after I graduated from Duke in May 2017 with a BS in Biology and a minor in Computational Biology and Bioinformatics.

As a research analyst, I’m involved in many of the lab projects, cleaning, analyzing, modeling and thinking about large social and ecological datasets. Outside of the lab I love be on the water, surfing, canoeing, fishing, or swimming! Next year I’ll be moving to San Francisco to teach high school math and biology.
