Rich Di Giulio awarded distinguished professorship!

We are thrilled to announce that Rich Di Giulio was named the Sally Kleberg Professor of Environmental Toxicology. Dr. Di Giulio was presented with his award on May 4th at the American Tobacco Campus in Durham, NC. Professor Di Giulio is the Director of the Duke University Superfund Research Center and the Integrated Toxicology and Environmental Health Program. He has published more than 150 peer-reviewed papers and has advanced scientists’ understanding of the mechanisms of contaminant metabolism, adaptation and toxicity in model species, and he has furthered efforts to devise new tools for assessing ecological risks. Dr. Di Giulio collaborates with colleagues in the DUSRC and across campus on numerous long-term interdisciplinary studies to shed light on the links between ecosystem and human health.
