DUSRC researcher Dr. Joel Meyer (Project 3), along with colleagues Dr. Dana Dolinoy (University of Michigan), Dr. Rebecca Fry (UNC), Dr. Jonathan Levy (Boston University), and Dr. Robyn Tanguay (Oregon State University and DUSRC External Advisory Board (EAB) member), will serve as editors for the new journal Environmental Health Advances (EHA), an online-only, Diamond Open Access journal published by the Academic Research Community (ARC) Alliance for the environmental health community. DUSRC researchers Dr. Kate Hoffman and Dr. Nishad Jayasundara have joined as Associate Editors.
The journal will feature peer-reviewed research in the areas of exposure science, toxicology, environmental epidemiology, and other related fields. To improve accessibility for researchers, the journal will not require author publication fees and will allow for flexible article length and format. Accepted articles will be published immediately and eventually compiled into annual issues. The journal will be fully open access and viewable free of charge. In addition, readers are permitted to download articles without fees or subscriptions.
The model for EHA – an open access, online journal supported by a large team of volunteer reviewers and a publication-ready template that assures fast turnaround for submissions – allows investigators a low cost option for publishing their research while meeting new standards for data accessibility.
