Ed Levin discusses the role of exposure adaptation in health risks for exposed and future generations

Ed Levin -- Invited Perspective: Does Developmental Adaptation Pose Risks with Changing Toxicant Exposures?

Project 1 PI Dr. Ed Levin was invited by the journal Environmental Health Perspectives to provide commentary on the need to further study how adaptation to chemical exposures can have consequences for the exposed individual and its offspring. Changes in exposures through a life may render these “mis” – adaptations, and there have also been studies showing that the same adaptations can impact health and development in future un-exposed generations.
