Congratulations to Duke University Superfund Research Center PhD student, Rebecca Hoehn (right), who, along with PhD student, Conner Lester (left), is the 2025 recipient of the Nicholas School of the Environment’s Dean’s Award for Outstanding Graduate Student Manuscript. Each year, faculty members nominate manuscripts for consideration by Stanback Dean Lori Bennear. Hoehn is a PhD student in the lab of Dr. Heather Stapleton, Director of the DUSRC and Project 1 PI. Her winning paper, “Flame Retardant Exposure in Vehicles Is Influenced by Use in Seat Foam and Temperature,” was published in Environmental Science & Technology last May.
