Project 4 researcher, Dr. Nishad Jayasundara, was recently highlighted in an article by Arundathi Nair on NPR entitled “Global buzzwords that will be buzzing in your ear in 2026.” Nair writes about terminology that may help to frame our understanding of global health in 2026. In the article, Jayasundara describes his research on chronic disease in Sri Lanka and how the phenomenon of “fractured resilience” can limit a community’s ability to respond to crisis.
