Emma Kelley

emma kellyEmma is a coastal environmental management student at the Duke University Marine Lab. She graduated with a BS in Marine Science from the University of South Carolina, where her research focused on benthic microalgae in salt marsh ecosystems.

Her research interests broadly center on marine protected areas as tools for protected species management. She is currently working with two other students on a project for Belize’s Ministry of Forestry, Fisheries, and Sustainable Development to evaluate the blue carbon capacity of mangrove ecosystems in Belize.
