Caitlin was a coastal environmental management student at the Marine Lab. She graduated from Swarthmore College in 2011 with a BA in biology and English literature. Before returning to graduate school, she worked as a biomedical research technician in New York City.
At Duke, Caitlin has fostered her interests in international marine governance and fisheries policy. She spent the 2014 summer working as a policy intern at NRDC’s New York office and had the opportunity to work on both domestic and high seas oceans campaigns. She worked on a client-based group master’s project to develop a disaster response plan for the North Carolina National Estuarine Research Reserve.
