Catherine Brenner

I am a Duke Kunshan University ‘22 undergraduate student, majoring in Environmental Science/Biology, spending my junior year at the Duke Marine Lab.  Generally, I am interested in investigating the influence of anthropogenic and biogenic factors in shaping community structure. Currently, I am investigating the effects of parasitism and beach renourishment on the burrowing rate and vulnerability to predation of Donax clams, as well as exploring edge effects, habitat fragmentation, and the impacts of megafauna, such as stingrays and manatees, on seagrass beds.
