Stay Connected With The Nicholas School By Teaching Executive Education Courses

The Nicholas School strives to maintain positive relationships with alumni, hence the development of our alumni engagement initiative, Go·Grow·Give. One way alums can stay engaged with the Nicholas School is through our Executive Education program, which provides professional development opportunities for a variety of environmental and communication-based topics.

Alexander Seymour, MEM/CEM’16

Many alums participate in Executive Education courses as students, but we have also had several who have returned to share their expertise as instructors. The most recent alum to join Exec Ed as a course instructor is Alexander Seymour (MEM, CEM ’16). Alex’s Master’s Project (MP) modeled California Spiny Lobster in an effort to inform kelp forest restoration projects. He currently works as a Researcher and Remote Sensing Analyst at the Duke Marine Robotics and Remote Sensing Lab. Alex will be sharing his expertise this spring as the primary instructor for the new “Drones for Land Trust Monitoring and Management” online course, where he will be engaging professionals from a variety of land trusts in the basic uses, requirements and legal implications for operating drone programs for conservation.

If you would like to re-engage with the Nicholas School and have expertise or a skill that you would like to share as an instructor, please let us know. We are always looking to expand our Executive Education course offerings, and we are happy to work together to create a new course!
