Duke Forest will also be offering the 10th Annual Pine Cone Pacer, a morning run/walk that is open to runners and walkers of all levels. The Pine Cone Pacer draws more and more alumni and community members every year. Money raised through registration goes toward Duke Forest restoration projects, including maintaining the network of recreational trails and protecting significant natural areas. The race also supports environmental education program expenses, such as transportation for tours and snacks for volunteers.
The race will take place on Saturday, April 13th, from 8 a.m. – 9:30 a.m.
Pre-registration is $25 until Monday, April 3rd. Since this is the 10th anniversary of the race, organizers expect the event to sell out. If any spots remain, registration will be available on the day of the race for $35. All participants are included in raffles for a variety of prizes. Registration and check-in is at Gate 12 of Duke Forest off NC-751.
Please note that the Reunion Picnic will not be offered this year. We encourage all alumni to take advantage of Duke University programming offered throughout the weekend.
