First-of-its-Kind Marine Lab Reunion Coming in July

___

During the weekend of July 13th through 15th, the Marine Lab will be hosting a first-of-its-kind Alumni Reunion.

Anyone who has spent time at the Duke University Marine Lab will tell you just how incredible and unique the small coastal campus on Pivers Island is. Fortunately for those alumni, there will soon be an opportunity for them to return and relive their experiences.

The Reunion Weekend will kick off with a dinner Friday evening to welcome Duke University’s new President, Vincent Price, in his first visit to the Marine Lab. Throughout the weekend, there will be opportunities to see new facilities, interact with current and past faculty members, meet current students, take a boat tour to Shackleford Banks, and learn first-hand about the Marine Lab’s latest research at the annual Open House on Saturday.

“We are very excited to welcome alumni back to campus,” says Marine Lab Director Andy Read, “We hope alumni will enjoy showing their families where they studied, as well as learn something new about our world-class research and amazing students”.
