Stay connected to the school and fellow alumni

The Nicholas School hosts events throughout the year, both stateside and internationally, to bring together alumni of different ages and career stages to connect professionally and personally. In addition to our annual alumni reunion on campus, regional groups and networking socials offer great ways to connect. To stay connected and hear about events, visit our news and events website, and be sure to register and update your information on the Duke Alumni Association (DAA) network.

Forest and Rangeland Taxation Conference

August 4 - August 5

The Forest and Rangeland Taxation Conference brings together researchers, educators, practitioners, and policymakers to examine how tax policy shapes the stewardship and long-term viability of working forests and rangelands.

The meeting will focus on the role of federal, state, and local tax incentives in supporting land retention, conservation outcomes, and sustainable management, while addressing gaps in implementation, understanding, and real-world effectiveness. We hope this conference will identify gaps in knowledge, education, and practice and strategies to address them.

Proposals for presentations at the meeting must be submitted via the link below by April 15, 2026.

Registration required – closes Monday, August 3.
