Using other work as a basis for your MP
Students may use work conducted in another class, an internship, or in other employment opportunities as a starting point for, or in support of, an MP. However, the student must be able to meaningfully distinguish between what was produced for pay or other course credit and the work done for the MP. That distinction should be discussed in detail with the MP advisor.
DukeSpace Submission Policy
DukeSpace is designed to provide long-term public access to your scholarly work. Once your MP is approved and published, it becomes part of the permanent scholarly record and cannot be revised or withdrawn except under very limited circumstances (e.g., legal issues, sensitive/restricted information, or proven misconduct). Minor corrections such as formatting or typographical errors will not qualify for changes after publication.
Please review your final document carefully before submission. You can read the full policy here: Policy for Withdrawing Archived Content. If a serious issue arises after publication, requests must be submitted through the official withdrawal request form and will be reviewed by Duke University Libraries.
