3 Women Changing the World Through Technology

On March 6, 2014, I was extremely honored to be called one of “3 Women Changing the World through Technology” by Skype in association with International Women’s Day.

Tim Lucas wrote in a news release for Duke University Nicholas School News , “Marine Lab PhD student Heather Heenehan has been honored as one of three women changing the world through technology. Heather was recognized for the innovative “Sounds of the Sea” Skype-in-the-classroom teaching platform she’s developed, and for her tireless efforts to inspire young girls to pursue careers in science, technology, engineering and math.”
