Groundbreaking for Conservation Genetics Center

Today was the ceremonial breaking of the ground for the Orrin Pilkey Marine Sciences and Conservation Genetics Center. The ~10,000 square foot building, will be located on Pivers Island with views of the Rachel Carson Preserve, and will have state-of-the-art molecular sciences laboratories, offices for faculty and students, a molecular-oriented teaching laboratory and other collaborative space. The Johnson Laboratory is excited to move into the building in Fall 2013 and to be part of this wonderful opportunity.
