2016 Environmental Innovation and Entrepreneurship Program Summer Grant Proposal Request
An amount of up to $5,000 per team member (but not more than $20,000 per team) will be awarded to one or more student teams selected to work on developing and/or launching a business enterprise (for-profit or not-for-profit) that is focused on creatively solving a pressing environmental problem.

Previous graduates of the Summer Funding Program include Kedge, Rangeland Solutions, TRUfish, Canopy Scientific, Anaerobic Digestion Pasteurization System (ADPS), and FullCycle. Information about the 2015 summer grant winners can be found here.
Plus, check out this video from the Canopy Scientific team. The team works with landowners to compare aerial measurements of forests to ground-based plots. With the drone, Canopy Scientific can measure the size and composition of the forest much more quickly and accurately than a standard field survey. The technology has applications in forestry and conservation. This project was partially funded by the Nicholas School Summer Grant Program for Entrepreneurship.
