Our public and for-credit seminar series is held weekly during both fall and spring semesters. They are generally held in the Nicholas School’s Grainger Hall on Duke’s West Campus, Fridays in the fall and Thursdays in the spring.\u00a0 For those interested in attending as a for-credit course, the course number is Pharm 847-S \/ ENV 847-S for the fall series and Pharm 848-S \/ ENV 848-S for the spring series.<\/p>\n
The purpose of this seminar series for graduate students is two-fold.\u00a0 First, it exposes trainees to the latest cutting-edge research presented by ITEHP faculty as well as scientists from the Research Triangle area and nationwide.\u00a0 Second, it also provides a forum in which the trainees hone their presentation skills.<\/p>\n
The highlight of each semester is a day-long symposium event on a focused topic relevant to the field of environmental health and toxicology.\u00a0 Previous symposium topics have included Duke’s environmental health community, environmental exposures and kidney health, environmental health and environmental justice, and breast cancer and the environment.<\/p>\n
