At the 2025 Nicholas School PhD graduation ceremony, ITEHP’s Rebecca Hoehn, PhD candidate, and Kate Hoffman, PhD, received top honors.

Hoehn was awarded the Nicholas School of the Environment’s Dean’s Award for Outstanding Graduate Student Manuscript for her work titled “Flame Retardant Exposure in Vehicles Is Influenced by Use in Seat Foam and Temperature.”

Nominated by students, Dr. Hoffman received the Norm Christensen Faculty Award for Excellence in Mentoring Doctoral Students. She is an associate research professor of environmental natural sciences and serves as ITEHP’s director of graduate studies.
