We are two PhD students in Duke University’s Marine Science and Conservation Program, studying marine ecology, varying in scale from microorganisms to cross-ecosystem interactions. We are interested in making ecology a bigger part of primary education, accessible to all students, and fun to use technology!
We are currently developing online, interactive tools and activities on the fundamentals of ecology to be used in conjunction with in-class lessons. Upcoming ecological concepts include:
- Predator-prey interactions
- Foods webs & trophic cascades
- Ecological niche theory
- Biogeography
- Multivariate analyses and ordination
All online interactive tools and activities are free to the public.
If you use our materials, please let us know! We are excited to hear how educators use them, how students respond to them, and how they can be improved.
