Kemen Austin has 10 years of experience providing technical assistance to government, civil society, and private sector stakeholders in the design, implementation, and evaluation of natural resource management programs and policies. As a Research Associate at the World Resources Institute, she led several projects to support evidence-based land use planning, through data transparency and accessibility on the Global Forest Watch platform. While at the Nicholas School, Kemen’s research evaluated the environmental impacts and tradeoffs of alternative land management policy scenarios, focusing on the global palm oil industry.
