Dr. Golden is the Director of the Duke Center for Sustainability & Commerce.  He is an Associate Professor of the Practice for Sustainable Systems Analysis in the Division of Earth & Ocean Sciences and the Department of Civil & Environmental Engineering at Duke University.

 Golden is also the faculty director of the Graduate Certificate in Sustainable Systems Analysis.  He previously served as Associate Vice Provost at Duke for Research & Corporate Relations.

 Golden received the Aspen Institutes “Faculty Pioneer Award” for his work on the nexus of Sustainability and Commerce.  He has testified before Congress and has served on various committees for the World Economic Forum, General Services Administration and the Pew Center.
