The materials below were developed by Duke SRC specifically for 4th grade teachers in Chesapeake City Schools in Virginia. They are meant to complement 4th graders’ experience on the Elizabeth River Project’s learning barge and explain the concept of adaptation by using fish in the Elizabeth River as an example.
