At our 25th Anniversary Gala, we announced the Nicholas School’s new Financial Aid Initiative: an ambitious yet critical push to raise at least $25 million in support for scholarships and fellowships. Increasing the school’s financial aid resources is a strategic priority to provide better access and opportunity to deserving students, compete successfully with our peer institutions for the best candidates, and ensure that our graduates leave Duke with more manageable, if any, debt.

In the coming weeks and months, you will hear more about the Financial Aid Initiative. We encourage you to consider how you can participate in this important campaign, whether through a gift to a new or existing scholarship or fellowship endowment, through immediately expendable cash contributions such as support for the Annual Fund, or both. We hope you will help us open doors to a Duke environmental education to the bright, passionate and diverse women and men who will lead our world to a brighter, more environmentally responsible future.

“Bolstering the Nicholas School’s financial aid resources is essential to our ability to ease our students’ financial concerns and allow them to focus on getting the most out of their educational experience….and to give our graduates more freedom to pursue careers where they can make the greatest impact.”

Jeff Vincent, Dean
