Welcome!

[dropcap4 color=”green”]W[/dropcap4]elcome to the website for the Johnston lab, part of the Marine Conservation Ecology group in the Nicholas School of the Environment at Duke Marine Lab. Here you will find details on our specific projects and the poeple that are working on them, as well as details on collaborative projects in our group. In general, we are working on assessing the habitat needs of marine vertebrates in relation to pressing conservation issues – things like climate variability and global change and more acute anthropogenic interactions like harassments and hunts. If you have questions about graduate school and joining our group, see these pages here on our main site. If you have questions about things you see in these pages, feel free to email me at: david dot johnston at duke dot edu
