Did you just solve the marine debris problem? Or invent the perfect coal ash neutralizer?

Maybe not. But at some point, your doctoral research, masters project, or incubator startup will have a need to get its news out. And you need to understand how the media world works, and how your university can help you promote the work you do here.

This seminar will offer a basic primer on the process of promoting campus research. The goal is for participants to understand the steps of promoting science to the media, from working with a university Public Information Officer (PIO), tailoring your talking points for different audiences, to reaching out and talking with reporters.

Come meet Nicholas PIO Tim Lucas, and get to know how Duke can help you.
